Tribute to Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola – You came, You saw, You conquered.

OGBENI RAUF ADESOJI AREGBESOLA– YOU CAME, YOU SAW, YOU CONQUERED.
A TRIBUTE TO A GREAT LEADER
BY
PRINCE ADESOJI MASILO ADELEKE

CURRENT CHAIRMAN, ALLIANCE OF COLABORATING POLITICAL PARTIES (ACPP) FELICITATES WITH YOUR METICULOUS SERVICES TO OUR DEAR STATE SO FAR.
Permit me, at this crucial stage of my speech to give kudos and bravo to the National Leader of the Party (APC) His Excellency Senator Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu, THE JAGABAN BORGU for his immense contribution towards the fundamental growth and development of what we are witnessing today as an embodiment of symbolism.
There is no doubt, ASIWAJU AS A SYMBOL OF ODUDUWA is by every calculation a DE-FACTOR when making a particular reference to polity and politics in Nigeria and Democratic Parlance. More grease to your elbow. Veni, vidi, vici ("I came; I saw; I conquered") is a Latin phrase popularly attributed to Julius Caesar who, according to Appian, used the phrase in a letter to the Roman Senate around 47 BC after he had achieved a quick victory in his short war against Pharnaces II of Pontus at the Battle of Zela. The phrase is used to refer to a swift, conclusive victory.
On the 27th of November 2011, hundreds of people, young and old, from all economic levels, associations, party faithfuls, clubs, great dignitaries representing a cultural and political rainbow, gathered here in Osogbo to usher in a new life, new era, new dispensation and a real change.
There may be no better day than today, for us to celebrate this man of the people who has performed exceptionally well by all rating in every sector. We all knew how Osun was when the immediate past administration was in government and we knew how it is now, there is no refuting that the present ‎administration under the able leadership of Ogbeni Rauf  Adesoji Aregbesola has given Osun a merited and an appropriate look as revered by all.”
The first December Double Salary you paid the State of Osun Workers, the  recruitment of 50,000 unemployed graduates for community service, sending 30 unemployed youths to Germany for modern training in agriculture, re-training  300 artisans in modern methods, information and communication technology training for 5,000 unemployed youths through OYESTECH, selling of cheaper fertilizers to farmers, free training of 3,000 youths in tailoring, giving loans to youths interested in agriculture, setting up of farm settlements to train unemployed graduates, free meals for primary school students which led to increase in enrolment in primary schools, building of modern markets for traders, the farmers train project are  encapsulated   in Aregbesola’s administration’s six-point integral action plan that seeks to banish hunger,  unemployment, restore healthy living, promote functional education and enhance communal peace and progress are few of the many achievements of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola.
Today, we have come to say our last goodbye to a man we all admired, a man who had served us meritoriously for 8 solid years as Governor of the state, a quiet leader whose voice was always heard when it truly mattered.
Aregbesola’s greatness was dated back to his Secondary School days. The traits of leadership were noticed in him from that era. His generosity is unequalled, racing through all and sundry, and cutting across all strata.
Today, Kings, Ministers, ambassadors, honourable members, expatriates, political leaders, economic giants, rulers of public and private sectors, party faithful and the general public all saying “best wishes” to one man, a unique creature and destined leader of our time. Even those who disagree with him politically cannot help sending words of honour to him on this day.
Fellow State of Osun citizens, what can anyone say about Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola that has never been said before? Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola brought us here together today and it is together that we bid him farewell as the Executive Governor of the State of Osun. A man who I can openly describe as a genuine Omoluabi, a man of integrity, honest, transparent, truthful, trustworthy, obedient, a sincere democrat, a detribalized leader, a true Socialist, a lover of his people, believer of true justice, a security conscious governor, lover of education, a senior advocate of the Masses, a great advocate of peace, your recent appointment as Chairman for the North West Zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Peace and Reconciliation Committee bears witness to this Sonorous fact.
Ogbeni Adesoji Aregbesola’s noble interventions in all sectors, particularly in education, health, security, agriculture and road infrastructure among others are now projects of pride and emulation by other states.
With doggedness, determination, commitment, diligence and well thought out policies, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola tackled headlong the problems confronting the state one after the other and the state of virtue is now enjoying a new lease of life. That the state of Osun is now one state matching assuredly and  proudly   amongst other states in the Nigerian family is an exclusively Ogbeni Adesoji Aregbesola’s achievement. Aregbesola always tells anyone who has the patience to listen, leadership is beyond building roads, providing boreholes, renovating schools or rehabilitating dilapidated structures   important as these are, for almost anybody can do that. Leadership is also and more importantly about mass mobilization as the corner stone of governance.
On a final note, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, you came, you saw and you conquered.
In view of recognizing meticulous style of leadership, we are institutionalizing four different categories of Awards to Four (4) different Dignitaries as a mark of excellence and to justifu His Excellency Senator Bola Tinubu’s status as symbol of Oduduwa who beget Oranmiyan Ogbeni Rauf adesoji Aregbesola, aregbesola begets Ileri Oluwa, the Governor-Elect Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and SRJ D. Salinsile replaced Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, who is now the All Progressives Congress candidate for Sept. 22 governorship election in the state.

Osun IPAC exco passes votes of no confidence on IPAC Chairman

OSUN IPAC EXCO PASSES VOTES OF NO CONFIDENCE ON IPAC CHAIRMAN, WARNS AGAINST USING IPAC TO SOLICITS SUPPORT FROM PDP, ADP, ADC AND SDP FOR HIS SELFISH INTEREST

The executive members of the State of Osun Interparty Advisory Council (Osun IPAC) has once again accused and passed a vote of no confidence on the current Chairman, Dr. Idowu Omidiji who was elected into the Council through the platform of his party, the United Progressive Party (UPP).

In a meeting which lasted for about four hours with the following IPAC excos in attendance: Alh. Rafiu Anifowose of the Green Party of Nigeria as Vice Chairman, Dr. Gbenga Afeni of the Action Congress of Democrats as General Secretary, Mr. Victor Olopade of the Better Nigeria Progressive Progressive Party as Assistant Secretary, Mrs. Sarah Elujulo of PANDEL as Treasurer and Dr. Oyerinde of MAJA as Publicity Secretary.

During the crucial meeting, Dr. Idowu Omidiji of UPP was accused of single handedly using IPAC to liase with the governorship candidates of PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke, ADP, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti and SDP, Dr. Iyiola Omisore, knowing fully well against the backdrop that IPAC consisted of all the 48 political parties contesting the election including the APC as well as others which made up of the current 91 registered political parties in the country.

Alh. Rafiu Anifowose, IPAC Vice Chairman, who presided over the meeting accused Dr. Idowu Omidiji of working and militating against the organization’s Code of Conduct which he described as the Council’s Constitution.

Dr. Gbenga Afeni, IPAC General Secretary berated Dr. Idowu Omidiji’s action and described it as undemocratic, selfish and unconstitutional.

According to him “When we first heard that Dr. Idowu Omidiji, the current Osun IPAC Chairman also the State Chairman of UPP was caught having an unconstitutional meeting with one of the APC guber aspirants, Engr. Adeyemi Adelere Oriowo before the APC scheduled primaries under the platform of IPAC, we called him, interrogated him and faulted his actions. He accepted his faults, apologized and promised never to do such again.”

“Unanimously, members of the Council accepted his apology and forgave him. Not quite two months after the APC guber primaries, Dr. Idowu Omidiji of UPP committed same error. This time around, he was pictorially caught having a strategic and crucial meeting with the representative of the governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party, in person of the former Commissioner of Information. Hon. Oluomo Sunday Akere. When the secret of the meeting leaked, with picture of him, some members of the Council with Hon. Oluomo Sunday Akere. This uncultured action made IPAC exco to summon Dr. Idowu Omidiji of UPP again to defend himself, but instead of yielding to the Council’s summon, he started maiming and blackmailing some members of the Council, the act of which is less expected from a distinguished Chairman of the Council. “

Dr. Oyerinde, IPAC Publicity Secretary in his contribution traced their emergence as duely elected IPAC exco to ACPP, the Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties.

According to him, “the Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) is a pro Aregbesola’s platform who believes in his progressive style of leadership and governance. Also in his political ideology and cause. Before the advent of IPAC, CNPP and ACPP were prominent political party associations for registered political parties in the state. CNPP, the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties was prominent when PDP under the political administration and dispensation of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola. Pastor Olatunji Popoola, the current Osun CNPP Chairman was then made the Executive Secretary on Political Matters to the former PDP governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Kudos should be given to the current CNPP Chairman in the state of Osun who has never renege on his support for PDP despite their failures to regain power from the ruling party in 2011, Pastor Popoola continue to offer his support to the major opposition party in the state unlike Dr. Idowu Omidiji, the current IPAC Chairman who is bereft of political ideology. Dr. Idowu Omidiji lacks honesty, truthfulness, transparency and serially known for betraying his companions. Bibi re ko se fi owo ra (Being born well isn't an item that can be bought). The noble and golden emergence of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the Executive governor of the state of Osun made ACPP prominent.

Under the chairmanship of the former ACPP Chairman, Alhaji Sule Alao whom the current ACPP Chairman, Prince Adesoji Masilo Aderemi Adeleke Omo Orangun Ile-Ila described as a man of many parts, who laid a solid foundation for ACPP. Under him, ACPP grouped and regrouped. The grouping and regrouping led to the emergence of the present ACPP chairman in the state of Osun, Prince Adesoji Masilo Adeleke as the 2 term elected pioneer Chairman of IPAC.”

“Prince Adesoji Masilo Adeleke whom Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola once described as tested, trusted, honest, reliable, resourceful and very dependable served meritoriously without tarnishing his white garment”

“Since then, ACPP has been a veritable platform through which all IPAC exos emerged since the formation of the Council in the state.”

Mr. Victor Olopade, IPAC Assistant Secretary urged all guber candidates of PDP, SDP, ADP, ADC and others whom Dr. Idowu Omidiji has paraded and approached for electoral alliance to stop dealing with him on the platform of IPAC but can do so under the aegis of his political party, the United Progressive Party (UPP).

Mrs. Elujulo finally urged the national arm of IPAC under the newly elected leadership of High Chief Peter Ameh to henceforth stop dealing or recognizing Dr. Idowu Omidiji of the United Progressive Party (UPP) as Chairman of the Council in the state of Osun until the exco finishes their final investigation and decision on the chairman which will soon be duly communicated and reported in due course to the Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in the state of Osun.

Concerned IPAC Excos Advises Governorship Candidates To Desist From Dealing With The State Of Osun IPAC Chairman

CONCERNED IPAC EXCOS ADVISES GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATES TO DESIST FROM DEALING WITH THE STATE OF OSUN IPAC CHAIRMAN

d

Sequel to a meeting held on the 23rd of August, 2018 at the State of Osun IPAC (Interparty Advisory Council) Secretariat in Osogbo, which had the Vice Chairman, Alh. Rafiu Anifowose, Secretary, Dr. Gbenga Afeni, Deputy Secretary, Hon. Victor Olopade, Publicity Secretary, Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde and Treasurer Mrs. Elujulo Sarah in attendance.

Political parties, governorship candidates, security agents and political members of the public have been warned to desist from dealing or associating themselves with the current State of Osun IPAC (interparty Advisory Council) Chairman, Dr. Idowu Omidiji of the United Progressive Party (UPP) who have been accused of using IPAC for his own selfish interest and political alliance for the forthcoming governorship elections in the state.

Other parts of the allegations levelled against Dr. Idowu Omidiji of the United Progressive Party (UPP) the current IPAC (Interparty Advisory Council) Chairman bordering around unilaterally operating the organization without carrying other excos along thereby damaging the good reputation and contrary to the IPAC Code of Conduct which coordinates the entire activities of the organization.

Whichever party, governorship candidates, representatives or political members of the public currently dealing with Dr. Idowu Omidiji on the platform of IPAC (Interparty Advisory Council) are doing so at the own peril.

Governorship candidates are finally urged to deal with Dr. Idowu Omidiji and his political party, the United Progressive Party (UPP) and not under the platform of IPAC (Interparty Advisory Council).
