AREGBESOLA @ 62: ACPP COMMENDS GOVERNOR OYETOLA FOR BUILDING ON HIS LEGACIES



The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has commended the current executive governor of the State of Osun, Alh. Gboyega Oyetola for following and building on the legacies and good works of his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola who recently clocked 62 years.

According to a press statement made available to newsmen by the spokesperson of the Alliance, Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde and which was signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Alliance, Alh. Rafiu Anifowose and Mr. Victor Olopade said “Aregbesola’s rising political profile since he was appointed finance Commissioner in Lagos State “is a testimony to his forthrightness, diligence and doggedness”.

ACPP further ‎described the former governor of the State of Osun as a formidable political force who has brought changes to the political landscape of Osun State.

“Aregbesola’s achievements are audacious and outstanding; from activism to governance and politics. As a governor, you made sweeping reforms that till date, your successor is still building on and making Osun State proud.”

“State of Osun has benefited vastly from your fountain of knowledge, wealth of experience, political perceptiveness and leadership acumen. The remarkable impact you have made in all spheres of human endeavour when as a governor in the state remains a reference point.” ACPP added. 

The Alliance finally described Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola as a true democrat and bridge-builder.

ACPP hails Gboyega Oyetola’s victory at the Appeal Court


ACPP HAILS GBOYEGA OYETOLA’S VICTORY AT THE APPEAL COURT

 



The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has said that the appeal Court ruling which affirmed Alh. Gboyega Oyetola as the duly elected governor of the State of Osun was a plus to the judiciary and re- affirmation of the wishes of the vast majority of Osun people.

The spokesperson of the Alliance, Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde of the Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA), said in a statement issued in Osogbo on Thursday that the ruling did not come to the group as a surprise. Dr. Oyerinde congratulated the State of Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun, the Executive Governor of the State of Osun, Alh. Gboyega Oyetola and urged them to continue with their people oriented services in the state.

The Acting Chairman of the Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) who is also the state Chairman of the Green Party of Nigeria (GPN) Alh. Rafiu Anifowose, hailed the judgment as another proof that the wishes of the people would always prevail.

I am not surprised by the outcome of the election petition at the tribunal because Governor Gboyega Oyetola has support from God and the people of the State of Osun. This ruling has further deepened our democracy and proved that our judicial system can be relied upon.” Anifowose said.

According to Mr. Victor Olopade, the Secretary General of the Alliance and the State Chairman of the Better Nigeria Progressives Party (BNPP) “It is a victory for all Osun people. This is democracy at work. This is a reflection of the wishes of our people and the victory goes to the people of the state. It is a victory for the continuity of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s political legacy”.

ACPP further called on people of the State of Osun to cooperate with this administration in his effort to shore up the revenue base of the state by prompt payment of taxes and fines, remain steadfast, assuring them of better deal under the administration of Alh. Gboyega Oyetola which they said has come to stay.

“We believe in Governor Gboyega Oyetola progressive leadership qualities and urge him to continue with his services to humanity. We wish him good health, long life and more years of fruitful service to our dear state,” the statement finally said.
