Why Senator Ajibola Bashiru Doesn’t Deserve Second Term – ACPP

WHY SENATOR AJIBOLA BASHIRU DOESN’T DESERVE SECOND TERM – ACPP

The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has slammed the Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial district at the House of Senate, Senator Ajibola Bashiru for his failure to meet the demands of his constituents.

In a statement by the Coordinator of the Alliance, Wole Adedoyin said the poor status of the constituency confirms that the Senator is incompetent to represent the people of the constituency once again.

The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) is nevertheless happy that the debate whether Senator Ajibola Bashiru has represented his constituency well or not at this crucial time of electioneering because it will help the Osun Central Constituents to take right decisions of voting right with total rejection of APC and Senator Ajibola Bashiru at the coming General Election.

ACPP Congratulates Senator Ademola Adeleke Over Victory At Supreme Court

ACPP CONGRATULATES SENATOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE OVER VICTORY AT SUPREME COURT

The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) under the leadership of Mr. Wole Adedoyin has hailed the Supreme Court Judgment, affirming the Governor-elect of Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke as the authentic candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the gubernatorial election that held in the state on July 16.

The apex court, in a unanimous judgment by a five-man panel of justices, dismisses an appeal that was lodged against Adeleke by Prince Dotun Babayemi who laid claim to governorship ticket of the PDP, having emerged from a parallel primary election that was held by a faction of the party in the state.

ACPP described the judgment as a victory for Osun PDP members and not only for Senator Ademola Adeleke and his supporters, urging him to be altruistic in victory.

According to a press statement made available to newsmen by the Coordinator of ACPP in Osun State, Mr. Wole Adedoyin said that the victory “was a confirmation that was already given by God that Senator Ademola Adeleke will be sworn in as the Executive Governor of Osun State come November.

“The latest verdict affirming the Governor-elect of Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke as the authentic candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has risen up our confidence in the judiciary as the last hope of the ordinary citizens out there.” ACPP said.

While congratulating Senator Demola Adeleke, the Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) urged him to remain with the people of the state and never get bothered by the antics of the All Progressive Congress (APC) whose only interest is to circumvent the verdict of the masses.

Southwest CNPP in a statement by its Chairman, Alhaji Yinka Olona on Monday in Ibadan commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the successful conclusion of the exercise, despite few challenges encountered.

Olona equally praised the security agencies for their determination to ensure that the election was free, fair and credible.

It would be recalled that INEC declared Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of the July 16 governorship election, early Sunday.

The former Senator defeated 14 other candidates to win the election. He polled a total of 403,371 votes.

Southwest CNPP under the leadership of Alhaji Yinka Olona urged Senator Ademola Adeleke to imbibe the spirit of magnanimity in victory by extending a hand of friendship to opposition parties and to build on the foundations already laid by his uncle, Senator Isiaka Adeleke towards improving the lives of the people of Osun State.

“We pray that God give Senator Ademola Adeleke good health, better understanding, wisdom, vision and more courage to build on the foundation laid by his predecessors to take Osun State to an enviable height.”

“Finally, we congratulate the good people of Osun State for peacefully expressing their political preferences, thus further deepening democracy in our environment. It is our hope that the choice they freely and collectively made at the polls ultimately translates into a better life for them in the future.”

ACPP Congratulates Osun Governor-Elect Senator Ademola Adeleke

ACPP CONGRATULATES OSUN GOVERNOR-ELECT SENATOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE

The Alliance of Collaborating Political parties (ACPP), on Sunday congratulated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the governor-elect of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke for winning the keenly contested governorship election in the state.

Senator Ademola Adeleke was declared as governor-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday polling a total of 403,371 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gov. Gboyega Oyetola  who scored 375,027 votes.

The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Wole Adedoyin said it was a well-deserved victory as the people of Osun state had made a choice to vote for a genuine change and a new era which Senator Ademola Adeleke represents.

ACPP reminded Senator Ademola Adeleke of some of the promises he made to the people during his campaign rallies which includes: Provision of loan scheme, wealth creation, eradication of unemployment, provisions of Basic Amenities, transformation of major Osun cities and other towns of the state, compulsory (free education), creation of jobs, improvement of public health amenities and enhancement of Osun state agricultural policy.

ACPP further urged those aggrieved with the result to channel their grievances to the proper quarters rather than embarking on a campaign of calumny.

"Senator Ademola Adeleke should also appoint other parties into his cabinet, defeating the All Progressives Congress was a collective responsiblity”, Adedoyin added.

ACPP finally commended Osun state people for the peaceful way they conducted themselves, before, during and after the Governorship poll in the state.

Osun Gov. Poll: APGA, AAC, ZLP Adopt Senator Ademola Adeleke

OSUN GOV. POLL: APGA, AAC, ZLP ADOPT SENATOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE, WARN INEC AGAINST DECLARING OSUN POLL INCONCLUSIVE

By: Wole Adedoyin

Three opposition political parties on Friday agreed to adopt the governorship candidate of the PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as their consensus candidate for Saturday’s governorship election.

The concerned political parties also warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against declaring the governorship election inconclusive saying INEC under the leadership of Mahmood Yakubu must keep to its promise of a transparent process.

According to a release jointly signed by them, the parties, Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), African Action Congress (AAC) and All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) said the decision of their governorship candidates to step down for Senator Ademola Adeleke showed that the larger interest of the people of Osun state matters most to them.

Parts of the statement read, “We, the three political parties urge our members all over Osun State and the good people in the state in general to take their destiny in their hands by voting for our adopted candidate, Senator Demola Adeleke for the position of governor of Osun State. This is to ensure PDP’s victory and to enable us to usher in a coalition government in Osun State, so that the state may be liberated from poverty, unemployment and insecurity.”

“Governor Gboyega Oyetola is a perfect example of arrogance in failure. His government is a certified failure which has brought unprecedented hardship, chaos, escalated insecurity and hopelessness in our state in the last three and half years.”

“We are worried that Osun State under the political administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola is presently overwhelmed with rising negatives in the areas of unemployment, poverty, insecurity and other developmental indices owing to the absence of political will of the present administration to demonstrate quality leadership. We have compared economic indices of Gboyega Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress (APC) administrations and concluded that the ruling party has brought Osun State to endless tales of woes. Osun State has continued to deteriorate and the citizens have become numb and accustomed to bad economic news. Governor Gboyega Oyetola has failed in the areas of health, education, agriculture, rural development, basic infrastructure, employment opportunities etc.”

“Senator Ademola Adeleke is our consensus candidate and our hope. We won’t give up until we hear the final whistle because we are aware that some persons from the ruling party, who know that they are no longer enjoying the goodwill of Osun people, believe that they can only achieve their aim through rigging. But the truth is that regardless of whatever they want to do, we will confront them and we will deliver as Osun people. We will stand firm and we know that by the grace of God almighty, Senator Ademola Adeleke will emerge as Osun Governor.  We are using this opportunity to tell Osun Electorate that, in an election such as this, you must be ready not just to vote, but to also defend your votes. We should defend our votes up to the collation centres.”

“We also condemn the APC government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his refusal to approve the use of Freedom Park and Osogbo City Stadium for the mega rally of the state chapter of the People Democratic Party (PDP). The two properties belong to the Osun people and not APC; the public properties are being funded with Osun people’s money. It is, therefore, surprising that the people of Osun, who are members of the opposition party, are being denied the use of the public utilities.”

The statement further added that other programmes highlighted by Senator Ademola Adeleke for the development of Osun State, as contained in his campaign agenda, were in tandem with the core values of the three political platforms.

The concerned political parties said INEC must remain independent in discharging its constitutional mandate and provide a level-playing ground for all political parties.

The parties finally alerted the international community, security agencies, observers and other stakeholders on the expediency for stringent adherence to democratic ethos in the conduct of the election.
