ACPP lauds Oyetola’s response to security challenges



The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has commended State of Osun Governor, Gboyega Oyetola for his efforts at uniting and securing the state and her citizens. Also lauded Governor Gboyega Oyetola for doing well as Chief Security Officer in the state.

ACPP hailed Gboyega Oyetola’s government for being alive to its statutory obligations of ensuring security of lives and property for the state’s resident since inception.

Also commending all the security agencies for their proactive initiatives that led to peaceful existence among the citizens of the state. ACPP however called for more cooperation and intelligence sharing among the citizens of the state and security agencies.

In a press release made available by the Alliance’s spokesperson, Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde to newsmen in Osogbo and signed by its State Chairman, Alh. Rafiu Anifowose and Secretary, Mr. Victor Olopade applauded the governor for an emergency state security sensitization programme which took place the Atlantis Event Centre on the 18th of April, 2019 which also had in attendance, Chairman, State Council of Obas, State Commissioner of Police, Director of Security Services (DSS), state Commandant of the Nigeria security and Civil Defense Corps, State Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Services , State Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), State Controller, Nigeria Prison Service and other eminent stakeholders. 

ACPP commended the immediate past Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Governor Gboyega Oyetola for providing modern equipment to the various security agencies to fight crime in the state.

 “State of Osun has not only committed huge financial resources to provide the state-of-the-art equipment to fight crime, but has also provided the right leadership and programmes needed to ensure that the equipments are adequately put to use.” ACPP said.

The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has congratulated Christians on the successful completion of the Lent and Easter celebration and solicited their rigid support for the political administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

This was contained in a press release issued and signed by the Chairman, Alh. Rafiu Anifowose and the Secretary, Mr. Victor Olopade and made available to newsmen by the spokesperson of the Alliance, Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde in Osogbo yesterday.

According to the release, “Easter period reminds everyone of the sacrifice, selflessness and commitment of Jesus Christ. We therefore call on Osun citizens, to reflect on the lessons of Easter and translate same to everyday event in our lives,”

ACPP urged everyone to also strive to bequeath a legacy of peace and selflessness to the coming generations, as Jesus Christ did during His earthly life.

“Let all of us be the change we want to see in our world. Let us come together for common good. Let us show kindness, and shun crimes and violence,” Let us all support the current government, pay our tax, dues and abide by the laws of the state”, ACPP added.

Osun COP3 commends ACPP for supporting Governor Gboyega Oyetola


The Osun State Chapter of the Coalition of Progressive Political Parties (COP3) has commended the Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) for supporting and projecting the good works of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the Executive Governor of the State of Osun to the people of the state.

This was contained in a press release issued and signed by the Chairman, Mr. Wole Adedoyin and the Secretary, Elder Adeloye Ogunmodede and made available to newsmen in Osogbo yesterday.

According to the release, “We are happy to associate ourselves with the current leadership of the Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) led by Alh. Rauf Anifowose and Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde. Since the inception of the current leadership of ACPP, the State of Osun and the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the political administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Prince Gboyega Famodun has recorded a rapid development and growth through masses oriented projects and community development initiatives aim at banishing poverty, provision of quality healthcare for the citizens of the state.”

“The collaborative and good efforts of all the thirteen registered members of ACPP have brought significant development to the Alliance. Part of which are: writing the Association a friendly and members’ oriented Constitution, registration of ACPP as a legal and umbrella body for interested political parties committed to supporting and actualizing the vision of the current APC political administration in the State. Also the weekly review of Governor Oyetola’s performance via press releases and press conferences with support from Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC).

Mr. Adedoyin who described the recently outgone ACPP leader as greedy, selfish, unfriendly and unprogressive advised the current leadership of ACPP to learn from his mistakes  and make honesty, transparency, truth, trust, equity and equality their watchwords.

It would be recalled that the thirteen political parties which currently made up of ACPP in the State of Osun which include  Green Party of Nigeria (GPN), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Change Advocacy Party (CAP) Hope Democratic Party (HDP), Better Nigeria Progressive Party (BNPP), Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA), Justice Must Prevail Party (JMPP), Action Alliance (AA), Coalition for Change (C4C), Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA), Peoples for Progressive Change (PDC), Advanced Congress of Democrats (ACD) and the National Action Council (NAC), worked and contributed to the emergence of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the last year governorship election.

ACPP commends nullification of Senator Ademola Adeleke’s Candidacy


ACPP COMMENDS NULLIFICATION OF SENATOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE’S CANDIDACY



The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has commended the action of an Abuja High Court sitting in Bwari Area Council of Abuja on Tuesday which nullified the nomination of Senator Ademola Adeleke as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the September 2018 Governorship Election in Osun State. Adeleke, who represents Osun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, was the PDP’s candidate in the 2018 governorship election in Osun state.

This was contained in a press release issued and signed by the Acting Chairman, Alh. Rafiu Anifowose and the Secretary Mr. Victor Olopade and made available to newsmen in Osogbo after the state emergency meeting of the Association.

It would be recalled that the Osun State Governorship Election Tribunal recently declared Senator Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of the poll. That was after Justice Obiora and Justice Ayinla Gbolagunte, entered a majority judgment in favour of Senator Adeleke. PDP and Senator Adeleke had earlier approached the Tribunal to challenge the declaration of Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC as the winner of the September 22, 2018, election by INEC.

In a twist of fate, two Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wahab Raheem and Adam Habeeb, had in 2018 barely few days to the governorship election in Osun State had dragged Adeleke to court, accusing him of not possessing the requisite educational qualification (secondary school certificate) to contest for the office of governor. 

The spokesperson of the Alliance for Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP), Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde described the court action as democratic and unbiased. According to him, it’s a prophecy of what will happen soon. We are confident and hopeful that the verdict of the Appeal Court will favour APC and Governor Gboyega Oyetola by the grace of Almighty God.”

Alh. Rafiu Anifowose, the Acting Chairman of the Alliance urged the people of the state to continue giving their support and loyalty to the governor elect Alh. Gboyega Oyetola and perform their civic duties like paying taxes and obeying government directives on civic matters.

The Secretary General of the Association, Mr. Victor Olopade assured State of Osun citizens of good dividends of democracy under the political administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola. According to him, “Oyetola is still the governor of the state and still in charge of the state’s administration.

Folorunsho Mojeed, Justice Must Prevail Party (JMPP), Mrs. Adebayo Rashidat, Change Advocacy Party (CAP), Dr.Kolawole Ojonla, People for Democratic Change (PDC), Dr. (Mrs.) Sarah Abiodun Oyerinde, Coalition for Change (C4C), Ibrahim Jamiu Adeyemi, Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA), Mathew Kunle Adeleke, National  Action Council (NAC) and Ogunmodede Adeloye, Action Alliance (AA) in attendance finally urged the people of the state to remain law-abiding and give support to the present government.

ACPP CONGRATULATES KAFAYAT OYETOLA AT 59



The Alliance for Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has written to congratulate the wife of the Executive Governor of the State of Osun, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs) Kafayat Oyetola as she celebrates her 59th birthday this year.

Thirteen political parties under the aegis of the Alliance for Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) conveyed warm felicitations to Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs). Kafayat Oyetola and prayed that God grants her many more years of commendable service to the people of the State of Osun.

According to the Spokesperson of the Alliance, Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde who is also the State Chairman of the Mass Alliance Joint Action (MAJA), “ACPP join your family, friends and well-wishers to thank Almighty God for your life and to pray that He continues to bless you with robust health and imbue you with His continued guidance, protection, and enduring provision.”

The statement further quotes the Acting Chairman of the Alliance, Alhaji Rafiu Anifowose who is also the Chairman of the Green Party of Nigeria (GPN) saying “As you deservedly celebrate this glorious day, it is my prayer that Almighty God, who has richly prospered you and ordered your every step this past half century, will continue to bless you with good health and fulfillment in the many more years of worthy service ahead of you.”

The Secretary General of the Alliance who is also the State Chairman of the Better Nigeria Progressives Party (BNPP) Mr. Victor Olopade assured Chief Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola of their supports in publicizing her community development projects and other good works through their publicity platforms. 

The Alliance for Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) also used the occasion to recognize the good and masses oriented efforts of Her Excellency Chief (Mrs) Kafayat Oyetola in the areas of Youth and Women Empowerment, provision of Free Medical Care and other community oriented projects aim at improving lives and standards of living of the State of Osun citizens.

The statement finally unveiled the Political Parties and names of their Chairmen that sent congratulatory message to Her Excellency on the occasion of her 59th birthday.
